Dubai Supreme Council of Energy held today (Tuesday, 24 th October, 2017) the 3 rd Emirates Energy Award 2017. The event organised concurrently with the fourth edition of The World Green Economy Summit (WGES) saw the attendance of the industry's elite and leading energy professionals, who came together under one roof to recognise and celebrate the achievements of 33 winners in this ever evolving industry. The prestigious ceremony was also graced by patronage and presence of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Supreme Council of Energy.
Technical Committee of 3rd Emirates Energy Award (EEA) holds its 1st meeting to review participations

The technical committee of the Emirates Energy Award (EEA), which organised under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, under the theme “Innovative solutions for clean energy”, held its first meeting in the headquarter of Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE). The meeting was led by Dr. Eassa Al Bastaki, chairman of the technical committee, in addition to the committee members, Saeed Al Abbar, Chairman of Emirates GBC, Habiba Al Marashi, Chairperson of the Emirates Environmental Group, Taher Diab, Secretary General of EEA, technical committee coordinator among other assessors experts.
Supreme Council of Energy unveils implementation plan for Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050

The Dubai Supreme Council of Energy has announced the implementation plan for the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, a year after the launch of the strategy by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. The Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 intends that 7% of Dubai’s total power output will come from clean energy by 2020, 25% by 2030 and 75% by 2050. The announcement was made as part of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy’s participation in the World Future Energy Summit (WFES), being held in Abu Dhabi from 16–19 January 2017.
Supreme Council of Energy opens registration for third Emirates Energy Award

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, the Supreme Council of Energy of Dubai announced opening registration for the third Emirates Energy Award (EEA) 2016/2017, to be held under the new theme ‘Innovative Solutions for Clean Energy’. Applications will be received from 1 December 2016 to 1 March 2017. Applications will be evaluated by the committee from April to September. The final ceremony to honour he winners will take place on 22 October 2017, to coincide with World Energy Day. The award aims to recognize the efforts of organisations and individuals in energy management and conservation. Moreover, it encourages scientific research and knowledge in energy by nurturing an environment of creativity, competition, innovation, excellence as part of developing clean energy innovative solutions.
